We are a South African practice built on Swiss clinical method. Not a franchise, not an importer — a doctor's practice that happens to take its discipline from somewhere with a long habit of measuring things carefully.
Swiss functional medicine has a reputation that has very little to do with luxury and everything to do with method. You measure first. You measure again. You treat the underlying system rather than the symptom sitting on top of it, and you are honest about the limits of what the evidence supports.
That approach travels well. What does not travel is the price tag, which is why we built the practice here, prescribe here, and have everything compounded here. Our patients get the method without paying for the postcode.
Trained at Stellenbosch and Tygerberg. Practises functional and integrative medicine with a particular interest in hormonal health, metabolic medicine and perimenopause.
Every prescription written at Swiss Medica is written by a registered medical practitioner who has personally assessed the patient.
We do not sell peptides. We run a medical practice that sometimes prescribes them. The difference shows up in the order of operations: consultation, investigation, diagnosis, and only then a prescription — and only where the clinical picture supports it and the patient understands what the evidence does and does not show.
Compounded preparations are not registered medicines. Some of what we prescribe is supported by good human trial data; some is supported by much less than that. Your doctor will tell you which is which, in plain language, before you decide.
